With a digital camera and a sponsor with the web address, one can't always
make unnoticed pictures.

This waterbike was really special! The cylinders underneath the frame, on
which the cyclist are sitting, are rotating and this way a worming
behaviour makes the waterbike move forward.

Next photo shows all the boats waiting at the start, with 10 kilometres of
waterbiking ahead.

The resistance of the water has a very different characteristic behaviour,
in comparison with the wind and ground at bicycling on the road. And then
when finishing one can imagine what a good feeling this gives.

During the races the audience was informed well about the classes and many
interesting details about the teams. Next picture, one of the HPV
organisers is being interviewed by the speeker, who loves waterbiking!

After the races interested people had the possibility to
have a close look at the boats and talk with the team members.

Wet Wing (left), Close To Perfection (right) And
then of course there are the strong waterbike talks, like shown on the
next photo where two different team members are telling each other how
fast their boat really is.

Delft Waterbike Technology had quite a problem. They forgot the hatch
plate with bearing that covers the gearbox in the upper part of the boat.
Thanks to the spare parts from Italian waterbike team they managed to make
a temporary solution. Unfortunately too much wear out was visible.
Therefore they only participated one race during the 100m sprint.

After a day of competition everybody was very hungry. So
the cook had an important mission, fill all those empty stomachs. And he
did well, the food was very good and the atmosphere was great.
