The party

The Turkish team from Istanbul participated for the very
first time at the IWR with their brand new boat Ata Nutku. Therefore they
were all welcomed and they thanked the organisation for the great event.

Chair dancing
It was decided to try out some classic chair dancing. As you can
see everybody sat nice and quite. Until the music started!
Waterbikers appear to be enthusiastic about any type of game. Heavy
struggles.. broken chairs.. team players that were not a team
anymore.. but: we got a winner! One of the team players from Trieste Waterbike Team had the best tactics to swing around the
chairs. |

Watch the trees..
It was Saturday afternoon in Trieste,during, the Bavisela
Event 2002. Leaving the harbour with Caipiroska mounted on the
top of the van, Genova came back to the camping for the final party
in the evening. They decided to go to visit the "Miramare
Castle". While driving trough the streets to the castle, they
didn' t consider that the height was reduced by the presence of
trees....!!!!!

| A collision occurred with the right paddle of
Caipiroska, with the consequence that the right carbon hull of the
boat broke into two parts right in the middle (it was TERRIBLE
to see, the hull imploded...!!!!). |
| They called the organisers, Trieste Waterbike Team, and together they worked for two hours to
fix the boat again on the top of the van. After arriving back to
Genoa, Italy, they started repairing this huge damage. Just a few
days before the IWR they finished the repair.

Shaking can also give beer drips
from the leaves.

The team from Duisburg, Gerhard Mercator University, has
offered to organise the next International Waterbike Regatta. Therefore
the next IWR will be held in spring 2003 in Germany.
