In the morning there were the captains meetings. During these meetings instructions to the team captains were given about procedures near the shore, the water depths and the competition courses. Where the boys are, where to wait in line before going to the starting line, how much time to launch boats etc. These meetings are quite important, especially because on the water talking is sometimes difficult and lots of movements exists on the water, making it rather complex for the organisers to get boats on time at the starting line and out of the competition field on time again.

Sometimes the views were spectacular and great to watch for the people on shore.
